All pictures of Windows & Doors on this website are shown from the outside. This principle is standard for Windows and Doors, and applies to all of our products (please see individual product photos for more details).

All of our Window Replacement jobs can take 1-4 weeks, depending on the size of job. This is because all of our windows and doors are custom measured and ordered to fit into your existing window/door opening. This is the best practice to avoid gaps, air & water leakage in the future.

How can I tell if I’m getting a quality window?
There are a few things we look for in a quality Window. We investigate how long the manufacturer has been in business and how large the company is. Because the warranty is only good if the manufacturer is in business to service it. Also, Wintorium Windows & Doors looks at build quality, and we prefer manufacturers with a local presence. This way, if we need to meet with someone from the factory face-to-face, we can do that. The best way to compare Windows is to have us come out & explain the differences between the manufacturers you are considering. We offer FREE residential and commercial consultation!
I already have bought my windows & doors. Can you just install them?
Unfortunately, no. You see, the proper measurement of the Windows is critical to a successful installation. So to ensure that all Windows are sized properly, we only install Windows we measure.

What is the EPA Lead-safe Rule and does it apply to me?
The EPA Lead-safe Renovation, Repair and Paint Rule (RRP) was passed to standardize safe practices when dealing with a home that has lead-based paint. If your home was built in 1978 or earlier, you are subject to the EPA’s Lead-safe RRP Rule. If this is you, be sure to select an EPA Lead-safe Certified firm such as ourselves. This way you can be sure that your project will be done safely. And it is the law!

We’re in the market for wood windows, but everyone is pushing vinyl windows. Why?
Well, there are many Window replacement companies that only offer vinyl. And if that is what they sell, then that is what they will try to sell you. With our company, we sell vinyl as well as many other types of Windows. So if you are looking for Wood, Aluminum, Clad, Steel or Fiberglass, we can definitely help you!

What is a retrofit window?
- Replacement windows (also referred to as retrofit windows) have been developed so a contractor does not have to remove the exterior materials of the home in order to install the window; they are measured to fit in an existing window opening and will only replace the actual window itself

What is New Construction Window?
New construction windows are used when a brand new home or a new addition to a home is being built. Since the studs of the home are exposed the window can be installed directly on to the frame by use of a nail fin frame, which means it is nailed into the framing of the home.

What is a Single Hung window?
- A single-hung window, also known as a single-sash window, is a type of window with a lower, operable sash and an upper, fixed sash. This means that the bottom part of the window slides up and down, while the top part remains stationary. Single-hung windows provide ventilation through the bottom sash.

Do I need double pane or triple pane windows?
- If insulation and energy savings are your top priority, and you live in an extreme or fluctuating climate, triple pane windows will be the superior choice. However, keep in mind that for the average homeowner, double pane windows are sufficient and do a great job of insulating your home.
